Time Will Tell Arts Society (TWTAS) is registered a not-for-profit performing arts society, dedicated to promoting multicultural artistic expression from traditional, neo-traditional and original sources, with a focus on rhythm, primarily emanating from South Asia and Africa, but not limited to those geo-cultural areas. This mandate takes the form of supporting and producing workshops, concerts, lecture-demonstrations and collaborations with other organizations and artists, with the aim of promoting historically underrepresented and/or misunderstood cultural expressions.
Our work takes many shapes, including supporting and producing concerts, workshops, lecture-demonstrations and collaborations with other artists and organizations, locally and internationally. We have been in existence since 2013 and produce events yearly, featuring a broad cross-section of artists, cultures, ensembles, partners, and interests.
We have been fortunate to have regularly received funding from the City of Vancouver, Canadian Heritage the BC Arts Council, SOCAN Foundation, BC Gaming, Metro Vancouver, the Canada Council for the Arts and TD Then and Now.
We live, work, and play on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC.
